May 2023 – A Day in the Country in Rochester

This extended visit to Rochester will encompass a special guided tour of Britain’s second oldest cathedral followed by a visit to Six Poor Travellers House, founded by the Elizabethan MP Richard Watts to provide board and lodgings. After lunch we will enjoy a tour of Grade 1 listed Eastgate House with guide Dr Claire Glapper, an expert in 16th- and 17th-century plasterwork.
